Well, been a busy weekend, car show yesterday and blow the clutch on car over hour away, had to power shift to get to speed and coast to the 10 stopes. Oh well farmer gave me 2.5 bushels of Roma tomatoes when I only wanted 0.5. So made salsa again, but story is for the jam. So since I still have over 2 bushels, I tried something new. Tomato jam. Not sure I will do that again took like 6 hours to simmer it down and only got 4, 250ml jars. The jam is hotter than the salsa with 5 jalapenos. If make it again will go with a lot less Cayan pepper.

So, I think I will just freeze a bunch of the tomatoes and make some more salsa.

Sounds delicious, as long as what you make turns out good and you enjoy it then the work is worth it. I remember when we always uses to do way more canning, nobody wants to do it anymore but when you do everyone is lining up for it. 😆
