Hard to watch.

Anyone watch the Leaf’s opener last night.
I realize the Habs are going to play the Leafs tough but I see the same old sloppy team showed up.
I know it’s only the first game of the season but that was hard to watch.

The leafs have regressed back a few years, they got rid of their bite back guys Simmonds and Clifford. Yes they aren't great players but when they were on the ice teams would think twice about taking liberties towards our players. At least then our team could play a little harder knowing someone had their back. Teams know once again that Toronto is soft to play against , they will totally take advantage of this with no repercussions.
It could be a very long season to watch Chevy.

I think Washington will give them all they can handle and more with no peace keepers in the line up as of now..I would definitely be calling up Simmonds..
Maybe they would fight a little harder knowing someone's got their backs. I'm thinking Wilson will putting Maglin and all the leafs through the board's tonight. Lol. What leaf is going to have any type of conversation with Wilson..
Anyway I hope I'm wrong and the leafs compete tonight but my spidey senses are tingling lol.

Hey guys, as Toronto Sports fans we are used to this play book. Happens every yr.
I'm down to watching a few games throughout the season, then, if and when they get to the playoffs, I'll join in.
Guess I'm a poor fan, but it's hard to get wired up like in seasons past.
Just too many years with disappointments.

Sheldon getting a lot of credit for putting in Simmonds and Clifford tonight ,5 games to late imo...Half of Canada knew to do this. Anyway good game for the leafs and should have a lot confidence for the next game.
