Just applied. This will be my 6th point I’m hoping that’s enough to draw a bull tag for Sioux lookout… but I’m not sure how many points it takes up in WMU- 5 to get an adult tag? If anyone could give me a rough idea of my chances that would be appreciated. Thank you 🤞

It took 9 points for a bull in the firearm season and 5 for a cow/calf in gun season last year. This does not guarantee a tag for this year ….it only tells you what it took last year to draw. Compare tag numbers from year to year also. If tag numbers increase in a given area and the same number of hunters apply it will take less points to draw a tag this year.The info is available in the online hunting regs.

Thank you for the info, exactly what I was looking for (just a rough idea). I will check out the tag numbers. I'm not going to be heart broken if I don't get a tag we always get in lots of small game and fishing and even sometimes deer.

Last year the area I hunt you needed 24 points for a bull and 19 for a cow. A few more tags have been added this year but not sure in my 16 points will be enough.
