A buddy was telling me yesterday that Gretch is closing up shop. Just one more attack on the gun owners' community.
With the poorer quality control everyone complains about after purchasing something new , it's these guys that can save a bad situation. And another symptom of this government's strategy to "back door" law abiding owners. SAD!

I personally think it is more to do with no one going into the business anymore. I know locally the guy worked until died at about 80 and son worked there but is not a smith. He has tried to hire a smith but no one wants the job or they expect way to much money and can afford to pay that kind of money.

I get that it sucks we are losing Smiths. I also get that the Federal Government sucks and seems to have it out for hun owners. What I don’t get is how the two are connected? The Federal government has not gone after gun smiths. Gun smiths are disappearing for many reasons I am sure. Considering per Capita Canadians own more guns than Americans I highly doubt it’s a lack of fire arms to work on. Maybe it’s because all trades are declining in available workers. Maybe blame out school systems for not promoting trades.
