Good day. I had to work hard to get my Tom in Bancroft. I hunted 4 days just north of Barrie & I saw a lot of hens but not many jakes or toms. I am interested in other hunters experiences in the Barrie area. Cheers

the farm I hunt had a few birds on it. Once they hit the ground they would go silent and one would swear none around.

Driving through Innisville several times this year I have seen many good flocks of birds. I guarantee if you’re seeing Ben the Tom’s are around. What time of day are you hunting?
With the hot weather a week ago the birds were deep in the bush most of the time. They were not being seen on the property I hunt. When that hot weather broke and we had two cold mornings back to back I went out and got my second Tom.
Sometimes you just have to pick the right conditions.
