Big pike will be going deep depending on the water temps. Muskie like it a bit warmer. What I'd be looking for is new weed growth in 8-12ft of water.

Which are ya asking about? They'll be doing different things. I imagine the last hurrah for shallow big pike has happened given the temperatures, and its about that time of year anyway. I've had some luck around this stage in spots that are surrounded by 15 or 20 fow. Good luck on musky opener, I guess thats about a week from now. Wish I could get up there!
