I enjoy following the forum over the years even though I live out west now. Been fishing Sturgeon and Pigeon lake since I was a kid and putting a worm on my hook scared me - a long time ago! Just an update on what we have been fishing. I know Pigeon Lake more now then I used to and have my fav spots that I always fish. This week the weather has been $hit - windy, wet and cool. I have thrown the "tackle box" everywhere and have tried a couple of of things I have done over the years. We mostly fish walleye, however we try bass and of course the ski's. We mostly fish the north end of the lake - big Island, down through the river, Nogies, 3 sisters and Gannons - trolling, drifting casting whatever the weather dictates. We have not had a ton of luck....yet! Landed a few nice walleye's the other night trolling with shad raps and the good ole worm harness - actually a double header one in slot 16" and the other out of slot 26" (nice fish 5 1/4lbs). A few sm. mouth bass (all released) on senko's and poppers - nothing really to write home about. We are marking a ton of fish at night (sunset) all around 8-12ft, however maybe the weather has confused them like it has confused us?? I'm going to blame the weather - lol! Anyway just wanted to give ya all an update and always look forward to reading the posts. Good luck to all and enjoy Canada Day! cheers, hookum

i found in the morning i fish the lake casting spinners or using jigs when the sun gets hot in the afternoon i go along the river bank with senkos or crawfish the odd time dropshot . seems the fish are getting wise to motor sounds i have been staying a good distance from shore and casting to the logs and weed cover . i have noticed some fish when using jigs or dropshot race up to the bait and then turn away trying to figure that one out. livescope is awsome lets you see everything that is happening a couple from today
