I know this topic has been beat to death in the social media platforms but I have yet to see it pop up here.

Here is my haul today from Dollarama in Peterborough.

Most is rebraded Canadian Tire stuff. But also some name brand stuff as well. I wanted to throw it out there in case you needed a few cheap baits.

Nothing wrong with Dollarama. It's a great store, with lots of good deals. Makes you wonder why the big three grocery monsters are taking so much of peoples money. I realize some things at the dollar store are not the best quality. But I am glad it's there for a bit of savings for a person that is having problems making ends meet. Keep it up Dollarama. Great post by the way.

last fall i bought a pack of 3 white swimmers 3" (search bait) with 1 weedless jig/head. quality is bad, the jig would bent easily, not very sharp either. BUT. i caught 3 bass with it on the following outing and i only paid $3. i still have 2 swimmers. so yeah, i agree, nothing wrong with it.

Technically Dollarama is the top "retailer" in Canada, by dollar volume...really!
What has happened to retail in Canada over the yrs. We have no Sears, Simpsons, Kmart, Eatons, (real) Zellers. With Hudsons Bay on the brink of collapse, what will we have left?...
Yup, Dollarama. Thank God for Amazon.ca
Sad.

not trying to start a debate here, but i do not think that is accurate.
e.g. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1243350...ada-by-revenue/ shows that is not even in top ten. and i should know, i work for one of them

what may not make it so obvious is that many times the big retailers have a lot of brands under their umbrella so one would not realize that they are pretty much everywhere.

sorry for hijacking the thread, back to dollar store products now

ps: i realized that if you click the link you end up on a page hidden behind a paywall. if that is so jsut search google for "top 10 retail stores in canada dollar amount" and this article will be first (at least it is for me)
