Thank you to reelingmachine and Jerkbaiter. Your good luck wishes worked the fish were hungry yesterday. It was wet with a north wind out in the boat until supper. A few bass and lots of perch caught. Too windy to be in a boat safely in the dark. So after a snack went back out to fish from the shoreline. Still wet off and on and windy most of the night. Crankbaits and the Zoom worm were working yesterday. Going back out in a few hours will continue post tomorrow. Here is a picture of a fat bass and walleye. Good luck and stay safe its a bit windy again.

Nice fish - great reward for braving the adverse weather conditions 👍 Well done CM! Looking forward to your tomorrows report and good luck tonight .
Thank you JB. Took this picture at 6.38pm yesterday. The rainbow signifies the end of the rain. The rainbow was wrong. But there was fish under the rainbow.

Tuesday night was the opposite of Monday night. No wind or rain this time but cold and foggy. The temperature got down to 3 degrees feeling like one. The fishing was amazing in the abyss of night. No moon and fog on the water making it impossible to see the fish until netting it. Lost count of everything the fish were every where. There was a trend though. It was like fishing in the spring. Every fish caught last night was small.

My main plastic bait under a slip bobber was always Gary Yamamto. Crappie or walleye these baits are amazing. Since they don't make them any more I kept quite a few bags for when my new baits are not working.

I have been using these baits for a couple of years now. These new baits work just as well or better so my old stock should last a long time. All the fish last night were caught on this Joker on a quarter ounce jig head. It is a very durable plastic bait the tails stay on and it comes in many colors. I don't endorse too many products out there but Mr. Crappie baits catch crappie and many more species of fish. His videos are fun to watch as well. Anyone looking to get into crappie fishing should watch his videos. I wish he would come up here so I could take him fishing for crappie in the cold. LOL. Cold water crappie is the best tasting fresh water fish. Walleye is a close second in my opinion.

Have never seen anyone use a barrel swivel attached to a small jig. From my experience crappie fishing, the jig won’t ride horizontal in the water.JMPO. But it must work for you.✌️

Glad to know you are having fun there. I bought few bags of those jokers some time ago. Looks like I need to give them another try.
Yes they work well. I seem to remember you catching two giant walleye and bigger crappie than me the night we were fishing at my friends dock. Your live target works great and so does your crappie baits. So many good baits out there in the stores. Anglers should be called collectors. And a tackle box should be called a treasure chest. Most of us have way to much fishing stuff. LOL.

I tried to show how the bait hovers in the water. Sorry it's not the greatest picture. I put it a full pail of water. My jigs are all a quarter ounce so my retrieve is slow and steady with some stops and starts. No quick movements moving the bait around. Nothing I do fishing is conventional. LOL.
