PAL Renewal, Do it ASAP.

My Restricted/Non Restricted PAL was to expire at the beginning of APRIL 2023.

I renewed it early using the online portal in DECEMBER 2022 -- A full 5 months ago now.

RCMP website shows it's still being processed.


If you need to renew.....do it as early as possible.

I would give them a call. Renewed mine in january and got it end of april.

Somethings odd. I hade mine back in 3 months or less.
Follow up with it.

I had mine back in 6 weeks and applied online in mid Feb.

Mine was about 6 or 7 weeks last year . Definitely give them a shout

Sounds like they are doing a full investigation on you. It took my wife 8 months to get hers because someone with the same name got into some trouble. If you call them they will let you know what's going on

I renewed my PAL recently as well and it only took 6 weeks to get it back.

Spoke to them.

Apparently they sent me a letter about a month after my application was submitted saying the photo I sent online with my application had some background issues (a door or something behind me) and it was rejected. -- I never received this letter.

At this point, I have to send a passport photo directly to Miramichi for the completion of the renewal.

BTW....If you have a CAA "Plus" membership, the passport photos are free at their offices.

Should only take 6 weeks once they get the photo.

Sent them a passport photo. They sent me my license.
