10 inch zoom worm looks more realistic sitting still when it bends up and over the point on the hook. 9 out of ten times the fish hits this bait while it is hovering with the movement of the lake.

I keep some of my used baits to make new ones. The bass and big crappie like this creation.....sometimes. It's a bit bigger than the Yamamoto minnow.

In my opinion the most important fact when using plastic baits is to make sure it is on the jig a bit off center. When it moves through the water the bait will create its own action. And the bait wags more in 12 to 18 inches of water as apposed to three feet. The deeper the bait is under the bobber the less action in the retrieve.

Actually the most important fact on fishing with plastics is stop throwing them on the ground or in the lake. Stop throwing cigarette butts, old hooks, lure packages, worm boxes, this list is endless. I wish people would stop throwing their garbage everywhere. Don't be like this guy. Treat Mother Nature with respect.....Please.....Thank you. Oh ya. Don't drink and drive in a boat. Or car. Or truck. Or anything. And don't forget to where your PFD. Stay safe.

Car is packed up and we are heading home soon. It's a sad day. Wednesday nights fishing was just weird. Caught another muskie just before dark but it got off. That was the only fish from 6pm until after midnight. I casted almost every bait in the box for 6 hours and nothing....not one hit just the muskie. A slight breeze from the west and the temperature got down to 4 degrees. After midnight until 4am there was two fish caught. So 10 hours of fishing 3 hits, 3 fish, 1 got away and 2 came back to the house. Just the weirdest night of fishing this season, so far.

Brought one walleye home with us last night. First time in 40 years baking a fish in the oven instead of BBQ. Roasted potatoes and some noodles and veggies.

It's not a plated dish by any means. As long as it tastes great that is all that matters.
