What amazing weather over the last couple of weeks we have had. I just got back from 5 nights in Algonquin which was unbelievable the leaves 100%. With just a couple days before taking off again we decided to get the boat on the water for the 4th time this year, (very sad only 4 times) We went to Balsam fished from 7 to 2 and all I got was an embarrassing perch, out fished by my son he landed two pike. We had no follows, no losses but great talks, great food, and a great time. However we had a crazy young loon playing catch the lure, damn thing wouldn't leave us alone, every cast it would go like a torpedo under the boat and at the lure, we had to leave.

Great pictures. Perfect weather to spend time together on the water. And that sunset picture is just beautiful. Those loons are crazy birds. Sorry the fish were not more plentiful. You were in the right spot out by that buoy. There is always pike out there.
