Can anyone recommend any fishing lodges in the Kawartha Lakes area that offer meals and fishing boat rentals? Back in the 80s my father used to take me to Forest Hill Lodge on Lovesick Lake. Apparently today, however, it only has housekeeping cottages and boat rentals are not offered. I would love to hear any local knowledge that you might have. Thanks kindly.

I can only speak to Stoney Lake which is right next to Lovesick through the locks. Have a look at Burleigh Falls Inn. They have accomadations and food for sure but I am not sure they rent boats anymore. If not you can rent from another place on the lake if needed. I am sure the management has a process to accommadate that for you.

There is a former fishing lodge in Coboconk that has been converted to a B&B, Saucy Willow Inn. Really nice place. Breakfast only (and tbh, dinner options in the area aren't spectacular). They have docks with easy access to Balsam, kayaks and canoes available for day use, you'd need to find a boat elsewhere but they'll let you moor it no problem. I caught a few nice bass within a paddle of the Inn just mucking about.
