Hello again forum members!
Finally,Hallelujah we have ice!
It's been a long time coming,the ice,not my post,but then it has been awhile!
So nice to be able to walk out onto a lake knowing that it's finally safe enough to hold an old fat like myself lol
I finished working the other night and met another forum member for an evening walleye trip.
After a full day's work,setting up my hut I was pretty beat needless to say.However it paid off as I was able to hook and land a nice 21 inch Walleye! Always a bonus when you get a fish unexpectedly.
The next morning I gave it another shot and managed another two walleye. How sweet it is I must say.
Finally I decided to head to another favorite spot and try for Laketrout.
I received a report from another fisherman that the lake had 4-5 inches of good ice.
I had a great day out in the open,no wind and mild Temps! No hut needed even though this ###### carted out the hut,not to be used.
Fishing was great as I continually had fish below in 50-70 fow.Lots of chasers,mostly small but very active.I landed 10 Lakers and took my two home for the dinner table.
Mother nature please keep it going as this is so special.
