Heading out Monday with Lake Nip Outfitters. Wondering if there is any snow on the ice yet? I want to bring the two stroke sled but read that some are melting their sliders. Looks like it's only a 2 km trip to the huts. Thanks

Shore was ice for a bit but there was some snow as you got out. Thinking after todays rain there won't be. I will not take my atv anymore and will stay with the sled as cracks are opening up.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETwFWo2Rz-A

Thanks. Looks nice and slushy out there. Good enough for my sliders

The forecast is for colder temps starting tomorrow night. The slush might firm up some by Monday. I have seen pictures of various vehicles including a snowmobile having issues with the cracks. Use caution out there.

Good video. Gonna try for the Manitous tomorrow but will play it by ear. Have a closer shorter mileage contingency plan if need be.

And even for a slow day you got yourself a nice feed.

Good bit of water on the ice now and it’s finding drainage holes. Windy like F.

I saw a video of several huts blowing across Callander Bay Today. A couple were sifting along pretty good. It was on a local Facebook group that my wife showed me as I am not on Facebook.

I was seeing rooster tails behind ATV's and sleds today. The temperature here got to 8.4C this afternoon. Lots of snow melted today. I can see most of my front lawn and the roofs are clear of snow as well.

Yes, looking at it this morning it would appear there may have been some wind caused hut adjustments for sure.
