Whitefish and Smelt, Wicked cold

World Record Trout Group: Members Posts: 1181 Member No.: 13075 Joined: January 11, 2017	Real windy out there! Holy moly that’s bitter cold. Fished 9-2. Landed one Whitefish and 16 Jumbo Smelt. Tough day, bigger marks were sluggish. Only the smelt were consistently vicious. Fished 45 fow. brrrrrrr. And yummmmmm… smelts!! I was a little blinded by the light in this shot!!

World Record Trout Group: Members Posts: 1181 Member No.: 13075 Joined: January 11, 2017	7” snow and 7” ice about 50/50 black/white. No slush at all. Walking was decent. 16 fat smelts for dinner guests.

The whitie came on a meegs with tipped with mayfly larvae.

They actually look quite similar to this. Can trade some with you next time we’re out.
