Hey guys i'm heading to Timmins this weekend with my daughter for some ice fishing and snowmobiling. Any advice on a lake or even outfitter? I live in Barrie and have never been there before.

Nighthawk is almost right in town and a decent size and has decent walleye fishing. If you are feeling a little more adventurous head east of Matheson on the 101 about 25 km than go north on the Munro Lake Road. Follow it north for 20 km than park and snowmobile in the last 8km to Abitibi. Once at the lake go out 1 or 2 km and setup anywhere. Abitibi can be epic. Easy to limit out on eyes and the potential for trophy size 40+ inch pike is very real.
For Nighthawk i think there is a Facebook group you can search for to get more up to date info.
If coming from Timmins than Protackle right in town is a good place to buy bait. They don't always have shiners but always have dace which seem to work just as well.
Both those 2 lakes are very shallow and you typically only have 4 to 7 feet of water under the ice.
