I was out on Saturday, saw lots of huts set up around Whitefish Shoal. I'm not sure how much ice there is, but machines were running out there.
There was patches of snow on the ice, but that will probably change with the forecasted rain on Tuesday and Wednesday (and potential snow on Wed afternoon when the temps plummet again.)

I was out yesterday near the tip of Thorold island so not far from whites, ice was good around 7-8". most of the big snowdrifts from last weekend are gone and by yesterday Sunday the ice was pretty glare with patched of snow so if you have ice scratchers on your sled I would run them, if on a ATV you are good to go but watch for pressure cracks as she was making some serious noises this Saturday and Sunday. Coming back to Casey's in Port Bolster I saw a crack about a foot and a half wide that had already stared to ice over, nothing for a sled but be careful on ATV with the mild weather and rain coming so take your time choosing where to cross.
