Just saw a video on a Facebook page for Oro-Medonte.

Ice has broken up with the wind and there is a large stretch of open water between
lines 7 & 9.

I'm not surprised the way the ice looked when I reported it on Feb.24.

Yes no surprise as I saw a lot of fractured ice on the East side yesterday and it would not take all that much to break it up with a good wind and we certainly had that today.

I think we are done.

Thanks for the report Ralph.

Yes wind was howling here last night in the GTA and I assumed it was worse up off Gbay and Simcoe. Any thinner "weaker" ice probably took a beating.

I will not be ice fishing this season.

Cheers!

down south here there been 1 week of winter, so there was a little ice for fishing for maybe 3 days in close. Tuesdays temp was 21C and fare number of guys golfing on local course. I will be getting boat ready anytime now. I'd be out now, but most of the walleye caught now are big sows full of eggs. the guys I know that have put their boats in are getting them. I believe the guys from shore along the rivers are getting them as well as there are a lot of vehicles parked along the roads. Buddy wanted me to come up and fish Simcoe this week but I said no thanks.

Stay safe guys

Thames river is where I seen all the vehicles parked, not often the water is clean and low before the ban goes on. I even tried behind a friends house but didn't get anything.
