Good day everyone and Happy Father's Day!!
Yesterday I was able to go to the river for a 3hr Musky Hunt in the evening. We started at 6pm and set off down the river( or it could have been up the river....lol).
Within 5 minutes I had a ferocious bite and right away I thought I hooked into a nice size Muskie as this fish was behaving all sorts of crazy.
After fighting and fighting and taking dives under the boat, I finally got a chance to see what it was and it turned about to be a 36 inch Pike.
Was not aware there were Pike in the river and that does not bode well for the Musky population in there.
Although, it gave me a good fight and was the only fish boated, it definitely was not the species we were after but I'll take it.

So if you are catching pike in the Otanabee, then does that mean they are in Rice and on their way to Stoney?

To be honest, I have no idea where they're coming from our heading towards. I was just as shocked myself to find Pike in the river
