Guessing Balsam is open water. Just want to confirm if anyone knows if it is ice out.

Wondering what the water level is like, with the lack of snow this season.

Yes it’s ice free for a while now .
Level is a bit below normal (I was there on Monday )

Yep , we got 17 pikes between two of us .
Surface water temps were 6-7C
The fish is there but not very active so you have to slow down the retrieve and make long pauses .
Suspended jerks (smaller size ) and flukes .
