Always fun chasing lakers when you jig them like that.

Keep at it and I am sure you will catch one so big you will be amazed.

Looked like a good time!

It took a bit of searching so we didnt get to play around with the lakers as long as we would have liked to! But we did manage to find the action toward the last 1.5hrs of the day, once we found the warmer water, we found the fish.

Jigging for them is a lot of fun but on this trip we we also experimented with casting for them! That how the two small ones were caught. Unfortunately we spent alot of time searching in dead water until we managed to find where the fish were towards the end of the day!

It also seemed impossible to stay away from the smallies, they were loaded in many of the spots we were checking for lakers in 40-55FOW. We then slid out to around 65FOW and thats where we managed to find the lakers while also staying away from the smallies.

Very nice fish. Great use of the trolling motor at the 6:30 minute mark. Only had to do that once with a huge muskie on my friends line on Balsam.

Thank you Fishnhunt! Im glad you enjoyed! Still trying to get the hang of the editing and will also most definitely need to get a mic to filter out that wind!

Thank you as always crappeeeman! Yes i was getting worried he would spool me! I was very surprised with how hard that fish fought for its size, I was expecting it to be at least a bit thicker than what it was! This was the second time i’ve followed a fish with the motor, the other time was for a muskie at Honey Harbour! Never ended up catching that fish, he managed to pop off after running FAAAAAAR from the boat
