Black flies are thick in South Algonquin/Haliburton for about a week now.

IM in Tilden Lake area and in the bush yesterday cutting firewood there were clouds
of black flies.Very few mosquitos so far but they are coming for sure.

Muskoka...like what Mykola said about blackflies (and I have lots of welts to prove it )) Mosquitos just started yesterday and are already getting some blood from me as well. It's only getting worse each day even if the low single digit night time lows. Bug repellent came out today.

yup I mentioned earlier that they started last week.. I don't see any real hoy temps even well into June so be ready to donate some blood to the buggars

When we were in Algonquin May 9-13 they were just starting but we were in headwater country where they always start later.
