Good luck with your school studies! I haven’t been doing much fishing myself, there’s just been too much going on, but will hopefully get out on the weekend for a bit. There will always be time to go fishing in the future, gotta take care of business first!

Thank you Jay. It's weird doing the school thing again, and no recess this time. And ya it sucks that the real world gets in our way of fishing sometimes. But that makes it even better when we get back out on the water. Good luck next time you get out there.

Ended up getting out today, many quality fish, it was a great evening!

As someone who did a drastic change in career a couple of years ago, I can appreciate what you're going through.

I know your strong work ethic will pay dividends, and that you'll be successful in the end.

A lot of people, as young as myself at 50, to friends who are 60, have changed their careers rather successfully and I have no doubt that you'll be amongst that bunch once you've completed your studies.

Don't lose track of your goal, and remember...fishing will always be waiting for you.

I threw all the Perch back in. But here is a pic of one. I love that the cormerants are being shot allowing the comeback of Jumbos at Waubaushene.

As you and others have said. Never too old to learn new things and in fact, we should all be always learning new stuff, even if not just for work. Thanks for the dad's day wishes and reminders. And nice fish Longfish.

I'm sure you'll do great with the studies. And good luck with the job search. They just don't know what they are missing by ignoring the older generation....lots of experience and knowledge.
I'm sure you'll get back on the water soon. I've only had the boat on the water once this year, but i have my first fishing trip to a resort on Newboro lake coming up next week....i can hardly contain myself as i'm so looking forward to a solid week on that lake again with some friends from West Virginia.
Take care Jaime, and I'm sure you enjoyed those steaks!!

Agreed. Just when we think we have it all figured out, something changes.

Jamie I wouldn't let school shut down your fishing! You can easily play hookie at least twice a week if you just forge a note from your Ma or Pah. I used to do it all the time, especially when the suckers were running. All it has to say is "Jamie won't be in today as he has the diarrhea". You could even add that you had eaten the meatloaf special at the Patty House in Coby.
Good luck with the books!
