Well, there you go you never know who you’re gonna run into when you least expect it. I went out in the kayak for a few hours got a few small Hammer handles kept two for breakfast. I was here again and I’m going down the channel where my park is and I see a guy fishing off to the right And got a fish on. I look again and it’s not other than DB Mr. Dale Bennett in the flesh, says right on the boat that he is a legend. Dale you need to put the word crppy above that. we had a good chinwag for about 45 minutes, after that the rain started to threaten so I went in. Dale stayed out there to catch some more crappy. It was good to see you today Dale and I’m sure we’ll see you out there more often this year, thanks for the chinwag and yeah, one of these days I’m gonna start fishing crappy and now I know where lol.

Good to hear you are fishing (and catching) out of your kayak and catching....I hope that means all your rigging stuff is working well. And you also caught someone red-handed.

Yes and thx Flutes…..everything working good. Just doing some tweaking and learning its limitations on the smaller bodies of water and smaller fish…….before I tackle salmon and larger bodies of water. I am playing it safe. Moainly learning the equipment I have and also moving things around until I get a fine oiled machine that I know inside out.
I went out today and caught 7 pike and kept two.
The best part of this morning was a personal best Smallmouth…..a monster at 23.5 Inches…….I did not have a scale with me but would estimate him to be around 7 lbs. Gave me a great fight, stripping line and launched 4 times.

Good looking rig and glad you got out on your new rig. Nice catch too
Thx Fishandhunt….I got out again today. Went 7 for 7 pike and kept two and got a PB on a smallmouth that I released …. Out of season. He hit like a ton of bricks. In the kayak its weird because when trolling you are sitting forward unlike a normal boat where you can sit sideways.so I am listening to the reel screaming and then nothing but a big spash. Then I knew it must b a big bass. I spun my head and seen launch two. Heart is now pumping as I want a picture and then a quick release. I brought him in but had no weigh scale but measured a sweet 23.5 inches …. A new personal best for me.back in the waterand watched him swim away to fight another day. He breeched 4 times.
