When my Waubaushene boat dealer transferred all my electronics from my old boat to the new boat, my 4 pin ethernet cable connecting my legacy (non-bluetooth, pre 2017) Terrova iPilot Link trolling motor to my Helix 7 SI G3N graph was lost. I've purchased and tried every type of ethernet cable sold by Minn Kota or Hummingbird trying to connect my legacy Terrova iPilot Link to my Helix 7 graph, nothing fits.
This ethernet cable is needed to connect my trolling motor to my graph so I can use the 'follow the contours option". I used this option a lot on the old boat, as it's a great way to fish on-stop and never worry be out of position on weed-lines.
Unfortunately, if I can't find a Minn Kota 4 pin ethernet cable, I will lose that "follow the contours" option.
I've called Minn Kota (Johnson Outdoors) twice, one guy said all ethernet connections are the same, so any ethernet cable should fit, the other guy said the 4 pin ethernet connection for legacy (pre 2017) units aren't sold any longer. Unfortunately I'm starting to believe the latter is true.
I'm hoping someone on this forum has one kicking around. Length of cable needed.... about 5 ft.

Try calling Aikmans. They fixed my pre 2000 Minnkota, even had the parts miraculously.. They are in Mississauga. If they are still in business. It's been years since I visited them. Googled them and shows they are open.

They aren't close to you, but you could also try Rocky's in Orillia. Tyler just might have the old connection around in the shop. (Right behind Trombley's).

Thanks guys. I'll check both Rocky's and Aikmans for sure. If I can' t find one....Ouch! it's going to cost some $$ to replace the Terrova i-Pilot link unit just to get the contour feature.

Just a follow-up MB, Aikmans did figure it out. All good now. I was worth the 5 minute drive...lol. Seems i was trying to connect the old 2D transducer cable to an ethernet cable. I found the proper ethernet cable coiled up under the bow facade and connected to the Helix 8 graph as it should me. I was stumped because the graph wasn't recognizing mt Terrova as being connected. That is the new issue that I'm working on now. It seems like it ever ends. Electronics are great when they work. I'll head back to Aikmans and ask what would prevent a Helix 8 graph from recognizing the Terrova when they are connected by an ethernet cable .
As a separate issue, I have 3 graphs, a Helix 7 MSI SI G3N at the bow, and a Helix 8 MSI G4N at the consol. I have 2 map cards, a Lakemaster card (so I can 'follow the contours') and Navionics card for the bow unit. Neither card will not work in the graphs.
I wonder if Aikmans will let me in the door this time....lol.
