I fish gull lake alot in the winter. If you are looking to fish around jan 1st you might be hard pressed to catch any fish. They are out in the main part of the lake and do not normally come into miners bay until late january. You might catch something but dont get your hopes up.

Dave's fish huts is going to let me know when the ice is safe so I'll pass it along..... It's going to be well below zero up there all this upcoming week so I would expect by next weekend or soon after..... I'm going up as soon as it's safe - it'll be nice to wet a line for something other than perch (just for a change). If you want minnows you can get them at the gas station in Norland for $4 if you say you're renting a hut.....
