48th year at the same spot catching pike. Started at 8am and fished until 4pm. Weather was cold and wet off and on, with mostly a SW wind all day. First cast, big minnow, small pike. Third cast, big minnow small pike. This is how the day went. Two dozen minnows and almost that many small pike. Might have even caught 1 or 2 twice, who knows.

Finally around 3pm a pike worth measuring. Almost 27 inches and a mad pike at that. Churned up the water nicely. A great day, and that just may be it for this year.
