Steve and I had another shot at river fishing this past Monday as daytime temps were decent and low winds.........Water conditions were really good for visibility so we got there around 8.30 and fished till 1.30

My "guide" ran us to a drift we did well on before and we connected with fish on the first pass.

This time they hammered it really well so the hookup ratio was far better than the last time..

3rd drift I got a screamer steelhead on but it go unbuttoned after 3 runs

Steve was doing very well on quality size browns while I was getting the smaller eaters again.

that changed around 11 am when we both got into quality sizes and spectacular colors to boot

Finally hooked up with another really nice chromer and after a 10 minute fight netted it, took pics and released it

we had a ton of laughs and were both tired so we said great day and packed it in early

with the temp dropping now don't know when I'm going to get out again.time will tell

lastly.as usual we just forget to take pics focused on fishing i guess, but got a few for you all

Enjoy

It was a fantastic day

stuff that worked was beads and roe bags and bite was steady with proper boat control and weights

also we stayed on that drift cause mostly we had it to ourselves except once in a while 1 or 2 boats would come by and do a couple of passes and leave....

Got to love that

got home and every bone in my body hurt, but nothing some good food and a nap could not fix

Solid day. I haven’t fished the Niagara for over 15 years for Steel or Browns. I really need to go again.

Amazing report. I love fishing there but the circus at the boat launch is just too much for me
