OVERNIGHT SHANTY RENTALS, SOMETHING NICE

Good morning!!

A few friends and I are searching for some overnight on the ice accommodations this upcoming ice fishing season.

We usually fish Simcoe, but are willing to go further for the right spot.

We are interested in finding something overnight but that is nice - woodstove heat preferably.

With proper insulation and sleeping quarters.

Not the typical propane heat with tiny beds set up I see normally.

Any insight on who would rent something like this out would be greatly appreciated!

If you want to head further north....eg Nipissing then they have really great on ice bungalows.


Most are propane heated, but with vented furnaces. personally I would stay away from the wood heat..too hard to manage a consistent temperature vs the propane furnaces with a thermostat

I haven't fished Nipissing yet but my friend has for a few years. The bungalows are great...he always sends pics and I would live in them if I could. Some have great facilities, barbeques, etc...worth the investigation.
