It is my favourite season.....ice season. Using Fish Online and some local intel managed to find safe ice North of Sudbury. I have never fished for stocked trout before so I was pleasantly surprised to catch for first ever splake (and another one to boot). One bit on live minnow on hook with split shot one bit on a wonderbread coloured clacker lure tipped with meal worms. It was a great adventure!!

For sure a nice start...any ice fishing (not even catching) before Xmas is a great start.

Yes I totally forgot about that - OR I blocked it out LOL

That was nuts. I walked out of the popup to go chat with the guys and a gust of wind just picked it up and started it down the lake, ran and ran after it with Adam and I couldnt catch it. some nice guy down the lake saw us racing and stopped it for us. I was close at one point maybe 20 feet behind it, but then another gust and it was gone.. Hilarious!

Had a work out for sure and was winded.

Good Times.
