I always go for a stacked leather knife when I can.. It’s an Elk Ridge “Outskirt”. Nothing fancy. Probably not near as nice as the one you’re talking about. When I bought it there were three identical models on display. I asked to inspect each one. Two out of three of the knives had a horrible edge, very crude and shallow bevel and very dull…. But the third knife had a very uniform and steep bevel and was razor sharp. My choice was obvious. The other two knives were garbage. I believe it was only 50$. Bought in Haliburton at Outdoors Plus. I baby the edge of the knife so it’s maintained it’s sharpness and gave little resistance when I merely touched it with my thumb.
