Is the centering screw adjustable? If so you may try advancing it out a bit so it holds the auger on center. Compare it to the auger that's working well.

I'm using the good one but like to have a back up. Funny thing is, the good one actually has about a 1/4 of one of the blades broken off but works great.

Stupid question…. Are the blades on upside down? Looks like the bevel is pointed at the ice not up. Hard to say without seeing in person for sure.
If they ARE on correct, lightly run just the back of your fingernail down the edge …is it bumpy and ragged, or a smooth drag. Tiniest of nicks and dings have way more affect than you’d believe.

OMG Drew I just looked at the pic up close. You nailed it. Those are 100% upside down.

bring your wrench out on the ice with you with a new set of blades if flipping your old blades doesn't work. i have had blades sharpened before and they were ruined because the angle was not correct.

Just in case you need a reference. This is what they are suppose to look like..
I'm confused which is not unusual but to me these blades look to be orientated the same as the ones in the original post which were said to be installed upside down. Probably me though.

Your correct. This pic the blades are also upside down. Bevel up is the correct way.
