Hi fellow anglers,
I was wondering what's your go-to Vibrato size for whitefish. I typically fish 25-40 FOW and use the 1/2 ounce size, but almost always get them on the second rod with meegz or menace jigs. Should I downsize to 3/8? I appreciate any advise or pointers.
Thanks,
John

Exactly.
I usually start off with a 1/2 oz size. If I don't mark or catch anything I'll downsize or switch to a plastic bait until I find what they want to chew on.

We may also be getting into the bloodworm hatch. The whitefish feed heavily on these worms and often won't eat other bait/lures. Having a high hook with a small worm/nymph has worked well in this case (with the vibrato on bottom).

I tend to use 3/8 oz...but also not on Simcoe. I have done fairly well with them but wonder if I should also try some 1/4oz ones on finicky days
