Has anyone been parking on the ice near the access point to Tajs'? I'd like to head up with a truck and trailer and don't want to take up room at Tajs' lot. Thanks

When we were there on the 12th no one really parked on the ice but we drove out in a van and had it out all day no issues.

The ice has gotten thicker since then so I'd say the shore lines a save bet.

As has been said, Taj has lot of room and even when he looks full he'll find a place to put your truck and trailer. Sometimes people park in "creative" ways and don't maximize space, but if you're there at a reasonable time I'm sure he'll accommodate you.

We're lucky to have minnows, secure parking and the easy access that Taj provides, thanks for supporting our local business!

Right now the safest place to park is at the huge backyard Taj have.
But after next week probably the ice will be strong enough to park close to the shoreline.
The only problem is the way some people are parking .........like they park at Walmart!!!
Not much space between the other cars !! THAT IS WRONG!! City folks and those people who don't know about how to park on the ice .....should know..... LEAVE A LARGE SPACE to the next car ...truck...trailer...DO NOT PARK too close to the next car.!!

I saw this wrong way of parking many times in the past.

Whynot..........I'm not sure what you mean ......" creative way of parking?..........

Don't maximise space ????? Do you mean people should park even closer????

Please DO NOT suggest some bad ideas to people who are already parking to close .

If I have to park in....ANGLE ....." creative way".......I will and I do many times.
Just to be further away from my neighbour ! There is a LOT of space and ROOM on the lake !

I mean blocking the way in/out of the lot, parking one small car where a truck/trailer could have fit, or parking like the guy today behind my trailer who left all of one ATV length of space between his car and my loading ramp.

Whynot.........I agree with you 100%.! This happened with me a few times too. Those guys who don't ride a snowmobile or ATV , don't realize that we NEED extra room for loading / unloading these machines. It happened to me even on the parking lot ( away from the ice) my neighbour fellow fisherman ( also had ATV ) he left me enough room for unloading / loading up my machine . But when I came out from the ice there was an idiot with a car jammed up between us so bad I could hardly even walk to my trailer!!

Unfortunately these kind of people are not members here on this board , they don't know many things and they don't read the messages here.

I wish they would, so they could educate themselves !

Parking to close to a trailer just sucks.

I guess if it does happen you can always pull out and then load. Not optimal but I understand that common sense is rare these days.

What would be great is if parking lots had a load unload area like a boat launch does then parking separate. Then it wouldn't matter at all.
