Any word on Ice conditions at long Shoal area ??

I doubt it's even safe to walk on at this point. The strong winds hasn't help, it broke up the main lake Saturday

Wouldn't risk it. On the 11th someone had to be rescued from Big Bay Point area. If you look out from the west shore, you can see that a lot of the lake is glare ice, it's only frozen over since the cold snap.

I had actually been planning to check the ice thickness over here a week or two back, but the guy requiring rescue services sort of turned me off publishing any information that indicated the ice may be reasonable. At this point, I'm hoping to walk out from Lockhart on Sunday with my spud and floater suit to get better information that I can relay back.
