I drove by on HWY 11 yesterday and their sign was there and it looked like it was open.

Went by there this morning, only had pike bait, didn’t seem too happy lol. Ended up going to Trombly’s. Fished couchiching for a few hours, my daughter had a monster pike on 4lb test and a tiny jighead but we lost it close to the hole after about 10 mins. Didn’t break the line, just came unbuttoned. Other than that 1 dink perch and a couple of window shoppers and that’s it. She still had a great time and wants to go back so mission successful as far as I’m concerned!

Even not landing the big pike, that would have been a thrilling few minutes and lots of reliving the event on the drive home. Sometimes, it's the not landing the big one that brings them back to the fishing even more.

I was at the bait shop on HWY 11 and 7th line on Sunday, I believe he opens at 5am, he sells his minnows by the scoop, was $14 for a scoop was between 24-36 minnows, a pretty good deal I would say, I believe Trombleys doesnt open until 8am but I could be mistaken on the time. These were medium size.
