We have been travelling Africa since Jan 14. We hav been to Rwanda,Uganda,Tanzania and now in Kenya.We have been on a three day safari and while in Zanzibar I went fishing.
I went on a small fibreglass “tinny” with a local fisherman.
Equipment was a spool of line with a plastic salmon type of fly. There was as a forked stick used as an outrigger. No rod, no reel just hand bomb it in!
I got the h first strike immediately and land d first h if st tuna about a hr e pounds. In three hours we had three or four strikes lost one after a short fight and landed two small tuna. The motor was as an ancient 15 horse Yamaha and we probably ended up 5 or 6 miles out . Here’s a couple pics.
