Wow, I can't believe the fish never hooked up. Performance anxiety with the camera being in the water Maybe a trailer hook or a chunk of real bait would have resulted in a hook up? The first two swimming by looked like thin whitefish.

Great video, very interesting behaviour, the bite was off I guess. Thanks for posting.

This describes the bit we were dealing with yesterday. Cool to see.

Yesterday was a poor day for me. Had I brought the camera instead of the finder I’d see the playing too I’m sure.

Soft bite and spit in one motion......hard to believe but there it is.....the value of the camera. If no camera you would be scratching your head trying to figure out....WTF.

I always tie in a trailer treble on my tubes.

Also if you’re seeing this reaction try changing your cadence. Doing the same thing over and over and getting the same reaction means they like the bait but not the cadence IMO. I would have tried to make it chase or dead sticker or even just wiggles the tube gently on bottom. Either way experiment and change that cadence up. I have had days the lakers will only hit on a chase and others where they will only hit in the mud. Also days where they only get hooked on the trailer hook.

Fish are like cats, sometimes they just like to smack things around. And when they are not hungry, you can't make them eat. LOL.

Interesting to watch..........I also like to use stinger hooks . sometimes they can be a pain, but they do generate more hookups on short strikers
