Headed up to Temagami for our annual Family Day Long Weekend trip with some friends and family. Fished two full days (Saturday and Sunday) with two half days on the front and back end of the trip. Conditions/weather were best Friday and the fishing reflected that.

Saturday a few of us headed to a larger connecting lake for lake trout opener in the zone, kept a few smaller keepers for eating:

Slush was good to bad in some areas off the main sled trails, below the mixed snow and slush I measured close to 13.5" of black ice.

Our last night we enjoyed fresh beer-battered whitefish with fries (as well as coleslaw, tartar sauce and pickled green tomatoes). 1/3 plates of fried whitefish:

Final count: 15 whitefish, 12 cisco, 5 lake trout, 9 walleye and 1 pike.
