Just read on another board that some of the Ops are cancelling due to the snow cover, even their Bombardiers are getting stuck on the east side. Might be wise to call before you go.

Hopefully they pack the trail by Thursday that would be alright but then again that's only useful for so long before I gotta break trial lol. Anything helps. It's still coming down good on this side I'm hoping it pushes towards orillia soon sorry north end.
The kids were getting stuck even with a snowmobile yesterday

I'm hearing some operators are actually closing for the season. Any confirmations on this ? I would say use at your own risk it's only going to get worse before it gets better.
When the sleds are getting stuck we have problems. I have a feeling this weekend many will be stranded stuck and have way more problems than they intended to have.

Yes, some people are oblivious to natures way of making big slush beds, thick blanket of snow that weights an astronomical amount and the water squirts up through cracks.

Yep, we almost didn't get off the lake today. If it hadn't been for the guys working for Hank's Huts, we'd still have a stuck sled. It really was unreal the amount of slush. Had we seen any mention of it before we went we would have skipped it but when you live as far away as we do it's hard to get pertinent information re: lake travel. That's the second year running that mother nature has kept us from fishing for whities.

Not worth going out right now. Most hut operators have left their huts in same area for weeks due to the weather and all you are catching is 4-5” perch. We went out and caught probably around 200 perch and only 6 were over 7”.

I just saw on FB that Happy Go Fishing is re-opening this weekend. They have repositioned their huts (over whitiefish/trout grounds) and have a good trail out to their huts.
