Took the day off work today, and fished THE lake in Muskoka.
Landed two lakers and one whitefish.
Walking on ice is now much better than last week/weekend (I think the last couple of days' rain "washed out' lots of snow:-)
The bigger of the two lakers is just over 28 inch (I was hoping it is over 30 inch for the derby entry, that is:-)

Nice. That is getting close to the 30+" category. What was that you used for the WF? Was that a small plastic bait with the thin tail in the mouth?

Thanks. And yes a small plastic bait on a high hook (about 3 feet above vibrato)

Very nice James! I used a very similar rig for the whitefish I caught.

Fantastic bunch of fish. Shoulders a that bigger laker are thick.

That’s a nice catch! It’s a tough go getting to 30” on that lake, 28” is rare.

Nice catch James. How was the slush? I'm heading to that area this weekend with the sled. They calling for another 15cm tomorrow

Thanks. And that's right. I believe over all these years fishing this lake so many times, this one (28 inch long) is the biggest laker I caught on the lake.

The slush? A lot better than last weekend. There are quite some snowmobile trails you can walk and follow. Off the trails, there are still some slush though. I think by this coming weekend it will firm up. Cheers and good luck
