Well hello again all! Just can't keep an old fella down.To hell with the rain sleet and snow! Got off to a rather slow start this morning with only a hammer handle pike and a couple decent missed opportunities by 2pm. The weather turned extremely nasty by 230 with pouring rain pelting down on my tent. This seemed to trigger the bite,as I started to get pike after pike every few minutes with an occasional crappie or perch thrown in. By 6pm it was time to make my way home.Final count 12 pike landed many misses, 5 crappies and also a couple monsters lost on the way up.Holy moly what a Day to remember. Now to clean some fish and dry out everything lol Have a Crappie Day.

I was just thinking today that some of the best fishing days I've had were in rainy weather and sometimes a bit of wind and it's getting to those kinds of day again where it's warm enough to be able to fish outside so no wet tent....maybe I will have to scale down my gear even more to get out there on one of these days again. Nice going!
