I imagine this is a long shot.
Fished with Hot Box Huts on Saturday. They give you very clear parking directions and when I arrived the signage is 100% clear. I know for a fact I was parked legally on 2nd Line because I checked several times. There were at least 5 other cars between me and the no parking zone. I was nowhere near the no parking zone.
Anyway - $120 ticket. My question - Anyone else wrongly ticketed there on Saturday March 8th? I imagine all the cars between me and the no parking zone were wrongly ticketed.
The appeal process is rigged. It goes to the parking enforcer to decide. I need more evidence.
On a good note, even tho the fishing wasn't great I introduced my buddy and 2 12 year olds to ice fishing that day and they freaking loved it. There are 2 young boys addicted to ice fishing now and I had promise to take them again next year.

I wish. It almost looked like it was jammed under the wiper so I wouldn't see it. I didn't see the ticket until I was 1/2 way home.
I did a street view search and can clearly see I am right according to the signage but I got no proof. That's why I figure my only hope is if someone else speaks up too. Thus the long shot ask if anyone has had this problem.
I know I'm going to end up paying - but this is a total scam.

Check your plate number maybe it's not even yours? to close to intersection?, time limit? american plate? Telsa vehicle, fire hydrant buried in snow but snow melted while your out fishing now exposing it? To bad you didn't notice earlier and had taken lots of clear placement photo's, speak with Hotbox people see if any other complaints, Good luck eliminate the possibilities then dispute it.

If you are a google user, Maps has your GPS history. If enabled, it also notes where you parked should you lose your car in a lot and need assistance finding it. Perhaps a rare occasion where having big tech track users can benefit you!

I have parked in some weird spots over the years. Ever since phones could take pictures, I utilize that. In the city or walking into the forest, I take two pictures of my vehicle. One front and one from the back. And repeat when getting back to the vehicle. Pictures and time stamps can't be disputed. Helped me with not having to pay two expensive tickets so far. Also if your vehicle ever disappears, there is proof of the last time you saw it.

Unless this arrangement has recently changed, these "enforcement" hires get a payment by the tickets issued. I happened upon a car parked near Big Bay Point where the distance was being pacing off -- the distance between a parked car and the stop sign/intersection. I suggested that if it was close enough that they needed to pace it off, why not give the driver the benefit of the doubt. A resident came out and told me that Innisfil pays a per diem by the number of tickets issued. Good luck on your efforts.

Heard back. They have agreed to reduce the fine to $90. Then talk of additional possible fees if I don’t pay this. This feels like a complete scam. I’m going to challenge it anyway on principle even if I have to pay the extra $30.

Not sure if this is the situation in your case but in some locations (like where I live), the township will send out notice of "winter parking ban" going into effect when the first heavy snows fall. At that time, it is illegal to park (or stand) on streets if it affects snow clearing machines....even if there are no "no parking" signs anywhere. It's not posted anywhere so I am sure those not living up here will not know this goes into effect (and I don't think it goes into effect the same day each year....really snow dependent). I live in an area where so far, we have about 500cm of snow for the year and our snow walls (not just mounds) are still about 1.5-2m high even after all this warmer temps. Lots of snow removal machines out there today cutting down and moving snow in prep for all the rain and mild temps coming at the end of the week/weekend.

The only time I’ve wrongfully got a ticket was in innisfil as well near Bbp. For parking too close to a driveway I beleive even though I was no where close. Luckily I saw the ticket and was able to get a picture and they dropped the ticket without a problem.

Most city to meters now photo the car ticketed. I got a ticket once in another township and requested the photo. Turns out I was right and won the case. Request all collect information from the ticketing agent.
