Was out again on Saturday the ice was perfect very little white ice and about 16" of black ice.
The action started within 15mins after set set with first bite very lite and lost halfway up.
Not even 5 minutes later a good hit and landed the first laker about 2lbs. then my buddy gets a hit about 20mins later and another 2lbs laker. This went on for quite a while hit and hit and many losses.
Then just around 11:00 the action really picked and i got a nice hit a a laker about 31/2lbs then suddenly my friend gets a hit as I finished with my fish and he lands almost the same size laker.
This went on all afternoon hit after hit and many losses about 3:00 I get a hit on my still line out side went to sent the hook and as I'm almost at the hole I see it' I see its a white fish which makes a dive down and spits out the minnow and hook.
I go back in the hut and start jigging agin and get another hit this time it's ling about the same size as the bigger lakers.
This had to be one of the best days we had on Lake of Bays, hit after hit all day long even when bring in my still line before we left I had a huge hit fought for about 10mins and then gone.
Reeled in my line only to find my hook fully straighten would have loved to see if it was a big laker or ling.
