well the boat almost ready for the water. Bought new trolling motor batteries, decided to try lithium. So everything ready to go and installed, but have an issue with one of the batteries. Company says it isn't a problem to do a test on it by draining it for 5 minutes with at least a 60W load then recharge and checking the voltage. So will test this battery tomorrow and hope this is not a problem.

longfish, I preformed the fix the company had me try. It like they have this issue often as it worked right away. the BMS on the one battery got out of line and just need to have a drain on it to have it work again. So I installed both batteries and hooked up my 3 bank charger and both lithium batteries showed stand by.
So all good so far all I need to do is pick up my fire extinguisher from being certified, already picked up 3 flares.

well here is the exact procedure. I have heard others having issues so might have been same thing.
What triggered the converstation was charger was going standby then red, so 5 seconds green flashing, 8 seconds red flashing
step one, checked voltage, was 12.9V at rest supposed to be 13.3 or greater slightly. My other one was at 13.4V resting.
step 2 connect a DC load of at least 60W for 5 minutes. I watched the volts while doing this, dropped to 12.7V. I used an inverter and put a 150W bulb on it. had to look hard for an old style bulb
step 3. Let rest for 5 minutes and check voltage again. this time the voltage was 13.4V same as other battery.
now both show standby, so flashing green lights.
So hope this helps others.
so this shouldn't be a problem as it is fully charged when screws up if does again then just use to motor and rest it I hope
