Been Hot for lakers this March. Last three trips this week I managed many consistently sized lakers in the 22-25” range. Great eating fish from this lake, that’s the perfect size in my opinion. Other lakes in the area, I wouldn’t eat any over 17-18” the meat is generally pale. They eat the same things but in this case I think it’s just that they grow incredibly fast in this lake, and a lot slower in other lakes nearby.
Yesterday saw 10-14” ice. Decent shores. Mostly black ice but some slush holes still where multiple layers exist.
