Bear baiting, At the cottage

My son decided to try bear baiting at the cottage for the spring hunt. We set out two bait stations and a strike bait at another location. We set up cameras and already have had martens and a fisher visit as well as ravens and coons.

Will wait and see if what comes in the next couple weeks.

Pour some bacon grease around the barrel. The little critters will trek it through the bush & the bears will want to know where it came from. Cheers.

We have been using cooking oil but who doesn’t like bacon.
