Looking for some advice/feedback please:

1) Transducer mounting plate:

I'm upgrading my sonar and rather that patch the two holes and then drill new ones I wanted to try a transducer mount so if I have to adjust things I won't have to redrill holes into the boat.

Any advice? Anyone use anything like this?

(I Heard the epoxy stick on versions are not great)

2) Boat trailer guides

I installed then yesterday, I've never felt like I needed them but I got a pair for X-mas so on they went.

I left about 2" on each side but is there anything I need to be aware of before I get out there?

On the mounting plate, I had mined sealed over older holes with 3M 5200 and then put the transducer onto the plate.

Boat guides, I only had about 1 inch clearance on each side of the boat to make sure the keel centers on the rollers. I added a self centering roller at the back, so much easier to line everything up. Self centering roller.

I like that self centering roller. May have to investigate if that fits my trailer.

Agreed, about an inch will help centre the boat but keep them from knocking against the boat in transit. If I allowed 2" the boat could load out of line with the bunks, and then you're that guy backing into the ramp to reset the boat and nobody wants to be that guy at a guy ramp They also help reversing the trailer empty.

I had basically those guides for years, than last year went with pole style from amazon. I put them on with about inch maybe 2. best thing I ever did makes it so much easier to load boat now as I can back in further so boat now basically floats all the way on, I only have to crank it about 3 feet.

I agree I don't like drilling holes in my boat either, was thinking of screwing on one of those boards, but figured for some reason not too. I do have some advice I wish the dealer had done before they installed the 1st one and the 2nd one. I installed the 3rd one myself on the opposite side of the motor. all of the the dealer installed one I could only read bottom to about 20mph, now I can read to 34mph. I read the instructions and it said to make sure to get the proper spin direction than follow the instructions.
