Just a reminder that the Kiwanis walleye world fishing derby is coming up.
I look forward to it every year and always have a good time fishing the opener no matter the weather. Although it’s called the “Walleye World” derby, the derby is for both walleye and pike. Me and my buddy like to target pike in the shallow bays and usually win some sort of prize. They have prize categories for the top 5 pike, top 5 walleye, a junior category for each, as well as a hidden weight prize, and prizes for the biggest fish every 3hrs of the derby.
